There are few conditions that may occur suddenly which can be both sight threatening or life threatening. You may present to our clinic and be seen the same day for the following concerns:

 

• Sudden onset of blurry vision

• Sudden loss of vision in either eye or both eyes

• Loss of peripheral vision

• Flashes of light in your peripheral vision

• Clouding, fogging or smudginess in the centre of your vision.

• Waviness detected in your vision.

• Sudden onset of red eyes.

• Sudden onset of discharge in your eyes - watery, mucousy, white, gunky or sticky in nature.

• Sudden sensitivity to glare and light

• Sudden severe pain in your eyes.

• Severe headaches on one side, frontal or temporal.

 

Please call our office on (02)9411 5222 for an urgent appointment on the same day. These conditions can sometimes be sight or life threatening. We will either offer treatment or triage you to the appropriate care with urgency.
