Paediatric Eye Exams
Eye examinations are recommended for children from age 4 onwards. Family history can be a good indicator of potential eye problems the child may be at risk of developing.
Studies have shown that 1 in 4 children have an eye problem in Australia.
Eye examinations will determine if your child needs to have corrected vision with glasses, contact lenses or orthokeratology. Furthermore, every comprehensive children’s eye exam will also determine whether a child has any of the following conditions:
-
Strabismus (an eye deviation that is inward, outward, upwards or downwards)
-
An amblyopic eye (A lazy eye)
